Nationwide Reading Day 2022 on the Kleve Campus

More than 70 fourth-graders from the Willibrord School visited the university on November 18th 2022 to listen to and experience stories together with students from the Childhood Education programme on Read Aloud Day.

Prof. Dr. Marjan Alemzadeh, Professor of Education with a focus on Early Childhood Education, gave a lecture on the topic of "Research-based Learning in the KLEX Tutorial Workshop - Participatory Didactics and the Importance of Future Skills in Higher Education" as part of the "Symposium on Research-based Learning" taking place on 4 November 2022.

On Friday November 18th led Prof. Dr. Jakob Lempp 80 graduates together with their families and friends through a moving afternoon with numerous speeches and awards. The event was musically accompanied by Prof. Dr. Thomas Pitz, who also provided the musical entertainment on the grand piano with his own composition. In his speech, the Dean, Prof. Dr. Ralf Klapdor to the graduates: "The Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Society and Economics are proud of you!" As a representative of the Presidium, Prof. Dr. Tatiana Zimenkova, Vice President for International Affairs and Diversity, addresses her word of welcome to the graduates and everyone present.

EU Voices Seminar: A New Role for Germany in the EU? The Policy of the Scholz Government.

„Region Europe” is an inter-disciplinary program pursuing a comprehensive knowledge of the European model of regional integration, its evolution in the framework of the political, economic, social and cultural processes in the region, and the features of the EU as a global actor. The program is hosted at the University of Turin / Italy. Prof. Dr. Jakob Lempp contributed a lecture on the new role for Germany in the EU with the new Scholz government.

Start-Up Week 2022

From 14 to 18 November 2022, the international start-up week will take place. The Start-up Week at the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is part of the largest nationwide campaign for entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit. Besides that, the international Global Entrepreneurship Week takes place in 180 countries; more than 10 million people from all over the world take part. The StartGlocal team has also planned numerous events for the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences on the topics of start-ups and entrepreneurship.

Congratulations - Vanessa Meinen successfully defends her dissertation

On 12 September 2022, Vanessa Meinen, Programme Manager "Sustainable Tourism", successfully defended her dissertation entitled "Steering sustainable events performance: Towards a more balanced assessment of sustainable association events" at Radboud-University Nijmegen.
