Career Path Gender and Diversity B.A.

Within the degree programme Gender and Diversity, B.A. you will acquire a broad range of knowledge and skills in domains that are highly relevant to today’s society. As a Gender and Diversity graduate, you will have learned how to question structures systematically, analyse issues from different angles and perspectives, and develop ways to improve diversity and equal opportunities in specific contexts. This professional expertise is quite valuable in areas such as:

  • Equal opportunities (between men, women, LGBTQI+ and

    heterosexuals)
  • Integration and participation of migrants
  • Anti-racism activities
  • Inclusion of people with disabilities
  • Qualification and public relations with regard to the topics of gender and diversity
  • Children and adult education
  • Business consulting and policy advice
  • Professional development and diversity management

In practice, our graduates work as trainers, consultants, coaches, research staff, assistants and managers in the areas of HR, recruitment, talent acquisition, employer branding, social media, marketing, public relations, or people and culture, just to name a few. They work for foundations, consultancies, service centres, businesses, non-profits, associations, unions, political parties, municipalities, educational and public institutions.

Gender and Diversity, B.A. thus imparts knowledge and skills which form the foundation for a broad range of interesting career paths, though additional qualifications such as a master’s degree or specific work or internship experience may also be necessary for some of the aforementioned occupations.
