Online Examination Registration

To register for an examination, please use the HIS online portal. 

The HIS portal is located at https://hisinone.hochschule-rhein-waal.de. You’ll need your matriculation number and your password to log in.

If you are unable to register for examinations, please send an email to pruefungsservice@hochschule-rhein-waal.de before the registration deadline. Be sure to include your matriculation number in the email.

Electives and extra subjects

When registering for an examination in an elective, you must indicate whether you intend to earn credit points (CP) towards your degree progress, or if the elective should count as an extra subject (Zusatzfach).

Extra subjects are completed on a voluntary basis and thus are not included on your final grade certificate, but on a supplementary sheet. Completing an extra subject awards no credit points towards your degree progress and any marks earned will not contribute to the overall final grade for your degree. Online registration is not possible in these cases. Instead, you must download and submit the appropriate request form.

Note that this is considered a binding decision according to Section 15 (7) of the General Examination Regulations for Bachelor’s Degree Programmes at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. Once made, this decision cannot be changed at a later date.

For examinations in electives offered by other degree programmes at the University, you will need the permission of your Examination Board to register. Online registration is not possible in these cases. Instead, you must download and submit the appropriate request form.

Other important information

You are not permitted to sit examinations that you have not registered for through HIS during the registration period.

The Examination Service will not accept any registration requests after the deadline. Retroactively registering for an examination after the deadline is not permitted.
