The Faculty of Society and Economics prides itself on conducting applied, interdisciplinary research projects on a wide range of topics in collaboration with regional, national and international companies and organizations. Our students and researchers contribute their expertise to projects on topics such as labor migration, emotional labor, identity development, consumer protection, and artificial intelligence.

To further strengthen this dedicated research, we have focused our expertise in three centers of excellence:

  1. Competence Center for Applied Economic Research (ccaer): Here we focus our expertise in empirical research methods. Our researchers use state-of-the-art techniques and tools to generate data-driven insights in economics and the social sciences.

  2. Competence Center for Social Change: In this center, we work on groundbreaking projects on social change. We actively address current challenges and seek innovative solutions. From developing sustainable practices to promoting social justice, we are shaping the future.

  3. Center for Innovative Teaching: As a research center for higher education didactics, we are dedicated to developing and implementing innovative teaching methods in this area. Our goal is to create an inspiring learning environment that prepares students for the demands of an ever-changing world.
