The World at the Zenith

For the second time, the International Relations study program, together with various partners from civil society, welcomed the musicians of Grupo Sal to Kleve. After a discussion with the activist Patricia Gualinga in Jakob Lempp's seminars, the university opened its doors in the evening for the collage of Latin American live music, mixed with a live interview with Patricia Gualinga from Ecuador.

For more than 30 years, Grupo Sal has been an important "voice of Latin America", building bridges between the diverse musical landscapes of Latin America and explosive development and environmental issues. Patricia Gualinga is the historic leader of the Sarayaku community, which has been fighting international oil companies for more than 20 years to stop them from encroaching on their territory and exploiting their mineral resources.
