Dipl. Kult.arb. Atlanta Ina Beyer will give a guest lecture in connection with the exhibition "The Naked Body" at the Kurhaus Kleve, dealing with male homoeroticism, censorship and unacknowledged desire. Atlanta Ina Beyer looks at gay male erotic art in queer punk zines in tension with legal regulations on obscenity and censorship in 1980s Canada. The question "What are you looking at?" serves as a starting point to reflect on the entanglements of nudity, gaze regimes and norms, rules and laws that determine the body, desire and the expressiveness of the subject.

The event in the context of the exhibition "The Naked Body - A Question of Perspective" is organised and funded by Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. The lecture will be held in English and can be followed online via the following link:
