General Student Committee (AStA)
The General Student Committee (short: AStA, from “Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss”) is the executive organ of the student body. AStA is made up of committed students who represent the entire student body at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences vis-à-vis political bodies, the public and, of course, university administration. AStA’s work includes advising, projects and initiatives that cater for the interests and needs of all students. This work is carried out by the associated committees, all of which have their own areas of responsibility. Projects and services are funded by small contributions from every student’s semester fee. AStA is headed by an executive committee consisting of four people: a representative from each campus, the financial officer and the chair.
