Sexual and interpersonal violence has many faces. Everyday situations such as offensive choice of words, sexist jokes, looks and gestures are trivialized and downplayed – even in University Sports.

With the Time Out campaign, we want to draw attention to the fact that we do not tolerate discrimination, aggressive behavior and sexual violence in University Sports at Rhine-Waal University. We create prevention structures to make university sports a trusting, non-discriminatory, respectful and safe space for everyone.

You will find, among other things, a sports scale below our course descriptions.  There you can assess what to expect from our sports courses based on various categories such as endurance, physical contact, coordination, strength, but also social proximity and accessibility.

Have you experienced or observed aggressive or boundary-violating behavior? Remember: you are not alone. You can get advice and support. We have an anti-discrimination officer at our university for this purpose. You are more than welcome to contact her at any time.
