European Security Policy in Focus: Excursion to Brussels

On June 4, 2025, second-semester students of the “International Relations” program traveled to Brussels to discuss the role of the European Union in the world. As part of the “European Integration” module led by Prof. Dr. Jakob Lempp, they gained insights into the functioning of EU institutions.

The excursion included visits to the European Commission and the European Parliament, featuring lectures and engaging discussions. A key focus was the European security and defense policy – a political field that is gaining importance in light of current global challenges.

The visit concluded in the plenary chamber of the European Parliament in Brussels, clearly illustrating how the EU is adapting to changing geopolitical conditions.
