Studierendenwerk Düsseldorf
The Studierendenwerk Düsseldorf offers a wide range of services to make student life easier. It operates the canteens on both campuses and runs several resident halls for students in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort.
It’s responsible for implementing the BAföG Act, issues its own student loans ("DAKA" loans), and can help broker other student loans options in Germany (KfW, Bildungskredit). The Social Services Department helps students manage social, personal and financial issues that pop up during their studies, and the Cultural Department organises events and international exchanges for students.
