Uni-assist and how to apply via uni-assist

Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences works with uni-assist, a Berlin-based service which processes and evaluates the academic credentials of international applicants applying to German universities. Uni-assist determines if foreign academic qualifications meet the German state and federal requirements for admission to higher education. Decisions are based on the legal framework provided by the German Central Office for Foreign Education (Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesen – ZaB) and the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs in Germany (Kultusministerkonferenz).

All international applicants must apply through uni-assist. There are no exceptions! Applications submitted by other means will not be considered.

To avoid any delays in the subsequent visa process, international applicants are strongly advised to apply as early as possible!

Uni-assist charges a processing fee for your application to Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. This fee remains entirely with uni-assist. Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences does not charge any additional application fees.

How to apply

1. Register a free account with uni-assist. You can do this at any time.
   
    
2. Gather the required application documents and scan them to your computer as PDFs.
   
    
3. When the application period begins, open the uni-assist online application portal and select Kleve, HS Rhein-Waal. You can now upload and submit your scanned documents.
   
   We do not require hard copies of your application! An electronic application is sufficient.
   
    
4. Pay the uni-assist processing fee to complete the application process.

At this point your application will be checked by uni-assist and, if you meet the minimum admission requirements, sent to Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences for final consideration.

You can monitor your application status in your uni-assist account. If there are any missing or incomplete documents, uni-assist will contact you by email, so please regularly check your inbox and any other place where an email may be redirected to.

After final consideration of your application, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences will send you your letter(s) of acceptance or rejection by email.
