Visit to Universidad Católica de Valencia: Advancing the Double Degree Programme in International Business and Management, B.A.

As part of the ongoing internationalisation and quality development of the International Business and Management, B.A. programme, Philipp Schorn and Fabian Dargel visited Universidad Católica de Valencia in Spain. The aim of the visit was to revise and adapt the existing Double Degree agreement in light of the recently completed accreditation process and the structural realignment of the study programme.

Recent changes to the IBM programme, in particular the new mandatory study abroad semester in the 5th semester, along with accompanying curricular and organisational modifications (including the discontinuation and introduction of specific modules), require a comprehensive update of the agreement. In-depth and highly constructive discussions with our colleagues on-site laid the foundation for this process, which will now be further developed over the coming weeks in bilateral working groups.

A special highlight of the visit was the personal meeting with the first IBM student from HSRW currently completing a semester abroad in Valencia as part of the Double Degree programme. This exchange offered valuable insights into the student experience on the ground and provided practical input for the further development of the programme.

This visit once again underlines the importance of international cooperation in ensuring and advancing the quality of our study programmes – and marks another step toward a future-oriented, practice-based, and globally connected education at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
