Student team wins NRW final of the "Accenture Campus Innovation Challenge“

As part of an interdisciplinary project, 25 students of the Faculty of Communication and Environment took part in this year’s  „Accenture Campus Innovation Challenge“ (CIC). The Accenture Campus Innovation Challenge is a cross-border case-study competition for universities. Held by consulting company Accenture, it sees top students from Germany, Austria and Switzerland compete against each other.

FLTR: Sophia Worbes, Lea Stark, Ralph Theodori, Dennis Janzen, Marius Schober

In five different teams and within two months, students developed several concepts for this year‘s theme „Future World of Work“. All teams proved excellent entrepreneurial thinking and implementation skills when passing through all the different stages from idea generation and realization up to presentation. A jury consisting of Accenture consultants and Rhine-Waal University professors then chose the best team to represent their university at the NRW final in Dortmund.

Here the champions Dennis Janzen, Marius Schober, Lea Stark, Ralph Theodori and Sophia Worbes won against other teams from Hamburg, Cologne and Meschede and brought their victory back to Kamp-Lintfort. With their winning project of a computer-generated secretary, the team will now enter the international final with teams from Germany, Austria and Switzerland on the 7th of July 2017 in Kronberg. All members of Rhine-Waal University will keep their fingers crossed for them.
