Hailing from Spain, Finland, Brazil, South Korea and eight other countries, a new group of exchange students from around the world has arrived in the Lower Rhine region to spend their semester abroad in Kleve or Kamp-Lintfort at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.

The International Office welcomed them on their arrival shortly before lectures begin and spent time introducing them to their new ‘home away from home’, where they’ll be spending the coming months immersed in their studies and life in Germany.

“We’re really pleased that the students have decided to spend their semester abroad at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences,” said Dr Joost Kleuters, head of the International Office. More and more exchange students are coming to the Lower Rhine thanks to Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences’ efforts to expand its global network of partner universities. “Our students benefit immensely from this process as well, as it provides them with even more possibilities for their own semesters abroad,” explained Kleuters.

After the students were enrolled and all administrative questions were resolved, they met again the next day for a hearty German breakfast, followed by a private tour of the campus to get to know their new surroundings. The adventure abroad is off to a good start!
