Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 18 February 2016: The University’s first annual International Symposium on Textile Malodour will take a look at the science behind odour formation in textiles. Numerous experts will be presenting the latest research and findings on a variety of topics such as sweat malodour, malodour in laundry, and the interaction between textiles and malodorous substances, among others. The symposium will explore both the microbiological and the biochemical factors present in the formation of textile malodours.

Subsequent workshops will offer an opportunity for participants and experts to discuss importance of microorganisms, textiles, detergents and appliances in the malodour formation process. Some 100 representatives from textile, laundry and detergent companies worldwide are expected to attend, as well as many researchers and students active in the fields of microbiology and biochemistry.

The symposium will be held in English. For more information, please see the accompanying leaflet and the programme overview.
