Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences was in attendance again for this year’s European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) from 5-6 November 2016 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Around 125 universities from 14 EU countries were on hand to inform the estimated 10,000 visitors about their institutions and degree programmes. Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences was represented by Professor Dr Matthias Kleinke, Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences, and Dr Ronny Hartanto, Professor of Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Technology and Bionics. The English-taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes – and the possibility of earning a degree in English while living in Germany – were very intriguing to the many visitors who spoke with Professors Kleinke and Hartanto at the Rhine-Waal booth.

Approximately 4,400 Indonesian students are currently studying in Germany, 30 of whom at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences was able to take part in the EHEF expo again thanks in large part to the very helpful support of GATE-Germany, a consortium of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK). GATE-Germany is dedicated to ensuring that Germany remain an attractive and competitive place for research and development in the middle and long term.
