Celebratory farewell to two Vice-Presidents

Vice-Presidents Professor Dr Anja Freifrau von Richthofen (Studies, Teaching and Continuing Education) and Professor Dr Peter Scholz (Research and Development) received a celebratory farewell and warm thank you from the university for their many years in office.

Professor Dr Anja Freifrau von Richthofen and Prof Dr Peter Scholz will turn their focus again to teaching and research, and are looking forward to new challenges and responsibilities at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.

Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 3 September 2015: Together with the Senate, the team of the Centre for Research, Innovation and Transfer and the team of the Academic Centre, the Vice-Presidents Prof Dr Anja Freifrau von Richthofen und Prof Dr Peter Scholz received a celebratory and fond farewell for their long commitment to the growth and development of the university during its first years of existence.

They were thanked on behalf of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences by Dr Heide Naderer, President, and Professor Dr Gerard J M Meijer, President of Radboud University Nijmegen and chair of the University Council, and Bibiana Kemner, Vice-President for Finance and Human Resources. “[The Vice-Presidents’] dedication and commitment were instrumental in the development of Rhine-Waal University from its establishment in 2009. I would like to thank both for the trust and support they showed me during our brief time together in the Executive Board,” said President Naderer.

Both Prof Dr von Richthofen and Prof Dr Scholz will return to their professorships at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, which were temporarily put on hold during their tenure as Vice-Presidents. Prof Dr von Richthofen will remain in Kamp-Lintfort as Professor of Personnel and Organisational Psychology in the Faculty of Communication and Environment. Prof Dr Scholz will remain in Kleve as Professor of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Analytics in the Faculty of Life Sciences.
