New Lectures for Guest Students Announced

Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is once again offering non-students the opportunity to audit regular on-campus lectures in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort in Summer Semester 2015.

Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, March 18, 2015: As part of Rhine-Waal University’s Studium Generale programme, non-students from around the region once again have the opportunity to register as guest students and attend a selection of regularly scheduled lectures at the university. This offer is open to anyone interested in discovering new topics or improving their existing knowledge in specific areas. Lectures are offered by all four Rhine-Waal faculties and held in either German or English.

In Kleve, the lecture series from the Faculty of Technology and Bionics is focussed on topics relating to science and engineering, including ‘Technical Design’, ‘Materials inspired by Nature’, ‘Thermodynamics’, and ‘Political Communication’. The Faculty of Life Sciences will be offering their own set of interesting lectures, such as ‘Biology and Biodiversity’, ‘Applied Microbiology’, and ‘Work Safety and Occupational Medicine’. The Faculty of Society and Economics will be presenting lectures across a range of topics, for example ‘Regional Integration’, ‘Diversity and Marketing’, ‘Organisational Economics’, ‘Social Transformation and Culture in Early-Childhood Education’, ‘Urban and Cultural Tourism’, ‘Political Consulting’ and ‘Healthcare Industries’.

In Kamp-Lintfort, the Faculty of Communication and Environment will offer lectures on communication and IT topics, including ‘Computer Networks’, ‘Controlling’, ‘Advanced Programming’, ‘General Psychology’, ‘Algorithms and Data Structures’, and ‘Marketing’.

Anyone interested in auditing Studium Generale lectures in the Summer Semester 2015 is encouraged to contact the Student Service Center. The registration fee is €100 and grants access to all Studium Generale lectures offered in the coming semester (valid March - July 2015).
