140 graduates experienced together with their families and friends a moving afternoon with numerous speeches and honors enriched i.a. by a musical performance of a selection of the University Choir. In his speech, the Dean Prof. Dr. Jakob Lempp thanked the graduates: "The Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Society and Economics are proud of you and we are grateful that you have chosen us, for a young university, a university that does many things differently other than others, a university whose guiding principle is "Inspired by the passion of a hundred nations!" And a university that may be a role model for others with its international campus, with people from 120 countries working together peacefully and productively."

For the third time and again this year, Katjes Fassin GmbH & Co. KG awarded the Katjes Prize, worth 1,000 euros. All very well evaluated theses of the faculty society and economics from the past year can be nominated. The winners are selected jointly by the university and the company. The best work is selected according to the criteria: practical relevance of the topic, innovative approach, feasibility of the results and scientific claim. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thanh from the Economic and Finance Master's degree course with her thesis "Does Gender Diversity in Board Matter: The Case of Vietnam: An Emerging Economy" won the Katjes Prize this year.

In addition, the faculty awarded its best Bachelor and Master graduates:
