The Faculty of Communication and Environment congratulates its graduates!

With a ceremonial farewell in the Audimax, the Faculty of Communication and Environment honoured about 50 graduates on October 1, 2021. Embedded in a festive programme, they received their symbolic certificates from the hand of the president with best wishes for their professional futures.

Even though the number of participants had to be limited due to the pandemic, the invited guests very much enjoyed the long-missed opportunity to celebrate in person and on campus again.

“We are very pleased to see so many successful graduates and are confident that they are well qualified and prepared for their first career. We wish them very much success in all their endeavours to come,” said Dr Oliver Locker-Grütjen, President of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.

Professor Dr Andreas Schürholz, Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Environment, and the Heads of the degree programmes joined in the congratulations. In his speech, Professor Schürholz also emphasised the importance of the Bachelor's and Master's degrees for the future careers of the new graduates. He wished them continuing success on their paths and encouraged them to proudly and confidently carry the name of their university and faculty out into the world.

Andreas Kaudelka, President of the supporters associations Förderverein Campus Camp-Lintfort e.V. emphasised their extraordinary achievement in gaining a successful degree against the backdrop of the Corona pandemic.

The event was musically accompanied by student and musician Marina Thiel, who received great applause for performing self-composed guitar songs.

After the official ceremony, students and staff met on campus for the traditional group photo with hat tossing and enjoyed the rest of the day in beautiful autumn weather.
