At the 09.01.2020 we organised a Coffee Fairday at the Audimax in Kleve and gave out some fair-traded coffee for free and had a lot of information about fair trade.

We used the Kleve-Café, a fairtraded bio coffee. It’s a campaign from the “Rheinischen Affaire” in Bonn for advertising and awareness rising. Also, we had bio milk, vegan milk and fair-traded sugar. In order to avoid garbage, we announced in advance that everyone could bring their own cup. We have also provided cups for those, who didn’t notice our announcement.

Are you asking yourself why? An estimated 1.6 billion cups of coffee are brewed every single day and every fair-traded coffee of them can make the world a better place. Fairtrade certified coffee directly supports a better life for farming people in the world through fair prices, community development and environmental stewardship. The Fairtrade Minimum Price for farmers is 65% higher than the average market price they would get. When we choose Fairtrade coffee, farmers can build a better quality of life for their families and communities.
