Business evening on environmental topics

Sustainability - from challenge to opportunity

As part of a series promoting dialogue between science, business and society, Rhine-Waal University’s Green FabLab hosted another exciting corporate evening on November 21, 2023. The focus of this evening was on environmental issues with a particular emphasis on sustainability.

Professor Dr Daniela Lud, Professor Dr Ute Hansen, and Professor Dr Irmgard Buder from the Environment and Energy degree programme, as well as Professor Dr Matteo Große-Kampmann (Infotronic Systems Engineering), gave informative insights into their work. The contributions not only highlighted the challenges companies are facing in the context of sustainability but also illustrated how these challenges could be transformed into opportunities for sustainable growth. The aim here is to create cooperation and synergies, in order to benefit from different perspectives.

The evening not only offered a platform for sharing knowledge but also the opportunity to find potential cooperation partners. The lively discussions and networking that followed the presentations demonstrated the interest and commitment of the participants to collaborate on sustainable solutions.

The series is designed to connect companies and cooperation partners at HSRW and beyond and wants to offer a platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences and perspectives on current topics. With its series of events, Rhine-Waal University would like to foster regional economy and contribute to shaping a sustainable future. True to the motto of "One Mission", transfer, teaching and research are brought together with the common goal of transformation. The series will be continued next year.
