Prof. Dr. Heiko Wilde

Prof. Dr. Heiko Wilde has been a professor at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences since 2012, specializing in international business law. In his teaching, he considers it one of his central tasks to present legal issues in a clear and comprehensible manner and to focus on their practical relevance and implications for students.

Prof. Wilde studied law in Osnabrück and earned his doctorate with a thesis on international tax law. A scholarship from the Fulbright Foundation took him to Dallas, Texas, where he completed his graduate studies and earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. As part of his legal training, he completed an internship at the Lower Saxony Finance Court and at an auditing firm in Geneva. After passing his second state law examination and being admitted to the bar in 1994, Prof. Wilde worked in specialized law firms in Lower Saxony, Hamburg, London, and Düsseldorf, among other places, where he provided comprehensive advice to medium-sized and large companies on issues of international commercial law.
