Prof. Dr. Heiko Wilde
It is not only lawyers, but also all economic leaders who regularly face issues of international economic law. As a lecturer teaching students, Dr. Heiko Wilde sees it as one of his primary objectives to describe legal issues in an easily comprehensible and transparent fashion and to focus on what is relevant in practice.
Dr. Heiko Wilde has followed his approach of combining theory and practice in the choice of the topics of his publications, with a main emphasis on corporate law and business sales.
Born in Oldenburg, Dr. Heiko Wilde studied law at the university of Osnabrück and received his doctorate for a thesis relating to international tax law. On the basis of a scholarship awarded by the Fulbright foundation, he completed graduate studies in the U.S in Dallas/Texas and since holds a masters degree in law (LL.M.). As a junior lawyer, he worked amongst others for the tax court in the German region of Lower Saxony and for a firm of chartered accountants in Geneva.
After having been admitted to the bar following his second state examination in law in 1994, Dr. Heiko Wilde has been working as an attorney for several specialized law firms in Osnabrück, Hamburg, London and Düsseldorf, advising a broad range of medium-sized and major businesses in the area of international economic law.
