Welcome to our First Year International Students 2014

Welcome to the Faculty of Communication and Environment. We are delighted that you have chosen one of our degree programmes and hope you will enjoy your academic experience with us.

Moving to a new place can be exciting and you probably have thousands of questions floating around in your head. We just hope this might answer a few of them.

When will your lectures start?

Your lectures will start on the 29th of September 2014.

When will you get your timetables?

You will be given a timetable by the faculty with all the lectures you have to attend including classrooms and names of your professors. You do not have to register for these courses. Since the timetable needs a lot of planning it has not been released yet but you can be sure to get it during “Fresher’s Week (22nd to 26th of September 2014). You will then also be able to find it, if you check for “Lesson Plan” among the quick links on the previous page (choose English version first).

What kind of events can you expect during Orientation Week?

Our Orientation Week provides a great opportunity to take part in lots of exciting activities, make new friends and get settled into life in Kamp-Lintfort. Events are open to all students but some will be of particular interest to you:

Welcome ceremonies
Social events
Advisory sessions

Who can you go to?

In addition to our International Office and Student Service Center you are always welcome to contact our Student Tutors. They will provide additional support in the form of advice and orientation sessions, as well as assistance with all topics which may affect you during your time with us.

Please also find information such as academic calendar, consulting hours, accommodation, jobs etc. among the Quick Links on our front page

We look forward to welcoming you to our campus.

Best regards,

Staff and Students at the Faculty of Communication and Environment
