Application to the Exchange Buddy Programme - Regular Students
Have you ever been to a different country and felt a little lost and confused? Mostly, in those situations, you would wish you knew some insider tips and had someone to ask in difficult situations... Someone like a friend…or a BUDDY!
We are currently looking for students who wish to become buddies for the incoming exchange students who will be joining the summer semester 2025 at our university. You are the perfect candidate to become a buddy if you:
You are the perfect candidate to become a buddy if you are motivated to:
- help one exchange student to integrate into the student life at HSRW during the first weeks of the semester, and
- answer questions concerning matters such as teaching styles or how best to prepare for exams
- assist your buddy with your knowledge and information about the university and the German culture
- learn about your buddy’s culture and share your own with him or her
Participating in the buddy programme has also some crucial advantages for you: On the one hand, you can get in touch with students from different countries and cultures and thereby fine-tune your intercultural competence. On the other hand, you are able to obtain valuable information and insider tips from your buddy about his or her home university and home country. Even better if you are planning to study one semester exactly at the university your buddy is coming from.
If you would like to apply to become a virtual/physical Buddy, please do so via the application form which is provided below until the 3rd of March (11 a.m.).
