1.1 Easing Everyday Teaching with AI-Supported Tools
After a brief introduction and an overview of the current state of generative AI, we will focus on typical requirements in the teaching routine and how AI-supported software can help simplify tasks and organization.
Text: We will begin with the classic text generator ChatGPT and use it for text support, organization, analysis, and brainstorming.
Image: We will explore prompts for the image generator Adobe Firefly and test its capabilities and limitations. For presentation slides, we will use Canva to plan and optimize content.
Video and Audio: We will experiment with video transcription and video chat transcription and discuss their potential applications in teaching.
Finally, there will be an overview of tools for academic research and a look at additional tools for tasks like creating diagrams and mind maps.
During the workshop, we will use Zoom's breakout rooms for group work and Miro boards for documenting our progress. Both will be explained at the start.
For further questions, there will be two group consultation sessions in the following weeks (14. & 15.11.2024, 17:00-18:00 each day).
