Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 15 March 2016: Millions of households, public structures, outdoor areas and monuments around the world will be going dark between 8:30 and 9:30pm on 19 March 2016 to commemorate Earth Hour, a global movement to bring more awareness to environmental issues. 2016 marks the tenth anniversary of Earth Hour, originally started by the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF), the world’s leading environmental organisation.

Earth Hour symbolises the global commitment to fighting anthropogenic climate change, which poses a threat to countless habitats and animal species. Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is proud to take part in this global awareness movement and signal its commitment to protecting the environment.
