Digitalization in dental technology

Intraoralscanner und 3D-Druck – was ist heute schon möglich?

Digital technologies are conquering the world of work in the Lower Rhine region - increasingly also in dentistry. This is why 3D-Kompetenzzentrum Niederrhein at Rhine-Waal University and wir4-Wirtschaftsförderung have organised an interesting event about Intraoral scanners and 3D printing.

Dr. med. dent. M.Sc. Thomas Wülfing, a specialist for dentistry in Alpen, has been expoloring computer-assisted digital dentistry for several years. In his lecture he will explain the application of an intraoral scanner in everyday practice. When creating implants, cosmetic corrections, precise drilling templates or telescopic restorations, digital technology changes and accelerates the cooperation between practice and laboratory in many ways. Peter Hoppe, from Hoppe Zahntechnologie in Neukirchen-Vluyn, will give a report on his experiences with digital impression taking and its possibilities. Ralph Ziereis, managing partner of TEAMZIEREIS GmbH in Engelsbrand, Germany, will do a live demonstration on "The digital impression". Participants will have the opportunity to either scan themselves or have themselves scanned.

Join the event on Mai 17, 2019 from 3pm to 6 pm on Kamp-Lintfort Campus. Participation is free of charge but we would ask you to please register by email to jessica.strobel@hochschule-rhein-waal.de.
