Celebrating Success – Farewell to the Graduates of 2025
A full auditorium, great atmosphere and plenty to celebrate: on 10 October, the Faculty of Communication and Environment bid farewell to its graduates during a festive ceremony on the Kamp-Lintfort Campus.
Dean Prof. Dr Klaus Hegemann opened the afternoon and guided guests through the programme as host. In his welcome address, he reflected on the past study years and highlighted the dedication, creativity and perseverance shown by the students throughout their time at the university.

Elvi Likaj provided musical highlights, adding a warm and enjoyable touch to the ceremony.
During the greetings and honours, various representatives of the university and its supporting associations took the floor. Prof. Dr Daniela Lud spoke on behalf of the professorial body, while Maike Tischler represented the student body and looked back on the shared experiences of student life.
The Campus Camp-Lintfort Association, represented by Frank Rattmann, honoured the top graduates from each degree programme.
Eva Folkerts and Lena Neumann from the HSRW Support Association and the Altana Group congratulated Sivakumar Shreevarshan for the best thesis in collaboration with regional companies.
Following the official presentation of diplomas, another musical piece by Elvi Likaj concluded the ceremony. Afterwards, graduates and guests gathered in the courtyard for the traditional group photo before heading to the reception, where many took the opportunity to share memories, reconnect and raise a glass to new beginnings.
