5th E-Government University Day has been a great success

Building on the success of previous years, the Faculty of Communication and Environment at Rhine-Waal University has organised its fifth E-Government University Day on the topic “IT-Security: A Challenge for Public Administration – New Prospects for Young IT Talents” on the 17th of November 2015.

Prof Frank Zimmer, Vice Dean at the Faculty of Communication and Environment, organised the day in cooperation with the Local Data Processing Center KRZN, IT.NRW, Computacenter AG & Co. oHG and CHG Meridian AG. The audience at the Audimax on the Kamp-Lintfort campus enjoyed numerous interesting presentations and welcomed renowned guests from the world of politics and business. The programme was moderated by Gregor Franzmann, Ministry of Health, Equalities, Care and Ageing of the State of North Rhine Westphalia.

Ideas on future career paths for E-Government graduates could be found at different information booths around the Audimax where businesses and cities presented themselves and tried to recruit students. Students also had the chance to present their projects in the course of the event.

"This year’s event has again been very well attended and fruitful. We are definitely going to host another E-Government University Day in 2016,” said Prof Zimmer.
