Placement tests

Note: all placement tests are conducted online in Moodle and thus only available for HSRW students. Please contact us at languages@hochschule-rhein-waal.de for questions or assistance.

German

If you have no previous experience in German, you do not need to do a placement test.

If you have any previous experience in German, you must do a placement test before you can register for a more advance course level.  We currently offer tests for the levels A1, A2 and B1. Note that B1 involves both a written and an oral test (by appointment only). Refer to Moodle for more information.

English, Spanish, Japanese

Placement tests in English and other languages are not mandatory, but we can provide general assistance For more information or assistance identifying the right course level, please contact us at languages@hochschule-rhein-waal.de.
