AGEP Spring Meeting in Kleve

AGEP is a nationwide network of development-related postgraduate programmes that collaborate within the framework of the DAAD-EPOS programme.

In spring-like weather, 16 representatives from partner programmes across Germany gathered in person – including from Heidelberg, Freiburg, Dresden, Berlin, Cologne, Bonn and Stuttgart-Hohenheim. A further 25 participants joined online, enabling an in-depth exchange to take place in a hybrid format.

The spring meeting focused on current developments and shared challenges within the context of the EPOS programme, as well as on further collaboration within the AGEP. Contributions from representatives of the DAAD, a Misereor practice partner and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) provided further impetus for the discussions.

Prof. Dr Oliver Serfling (CCST) used the lunch break to give the guests a better understanding of the university during a short walk around the campus. The visitors were impressed by the study and working conditions at the university and by the truly international atmosphere of the campus on both sides of the Spoy.

The event highlighted the importance of ongoing dialogue within the AGEP and provided a valuable platform for discussing shared issues and developing prospects for further collaboration.
