The foundation of the Centre for Innovative Teaching is the development of a shared understanding of teaching and learning within the faculty. The way work is organised within the Centre provides an opportunity to actively collaborate on developing innovative teaching and learning formats, and to further develop these by utilising and refining the university’s existing laboratories and the research-based learning approach. This exchange is not limited to the faculty’s teaching staff, but also includes students and other stakeholders, such as Central facilities, external partners, experts in adult education, and practitioners. Together, sustainable models and projects based on research in higher education pedagogy are developed and implemented.

Current topics:

  • Artificial intelligence and its use in teaching
  • Teaching democratic values through and with teaching
  • Participation in teaching
  • Future-oriented teaching concepts, from blended learning to digital teaching
