As part of the project, Prof. Dr Eva Maria Hinterhuber (project lead) and Christine Buchwald, who conceived the idea for the project and successfully set it in motion, are pursuing the following steps and objectives together with the senior project officer Dr Michaela Zöhrer and student research assistants:

  • State of the Art: The state of feminist peace research in the German-speaking world over the last ten years is being systematically surveyed (scoping review). In particular, discourses, debates and lines of development in the interdisciplinary fields of peace, violence and the military are being identified.
  • Networking and visibility: The results of targeted research on key figures in feminist peace research in the German-speaking world will be compiled and presented in a clear and visually appealing manner to facilitate networking and increase the visibility of feminist peace research based in the German-speaking world at both regional and international levels.
  • University teaching: A further aim of the project is to make the findings usable for teaching practice at universities.
