Welcome to the Faculty of Life Sciences! At the Faculty Day, which forms part of Freshers’ Week, you’ll get to know your degree programme, your faculty and the people behind it.
In the morning, our Vice-Dean, Prof. Platte, will welcome you in both German and English. Afterwards, we’ll introduce you to your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme during the programme sessions. You’ll receive key information about starting your studies and have the chance to ask any questions you may have. Following this, the Students’ Representative Council will take over with its own programme.

For three degree programmes, the welcome session will not take place on Faculty Day but during the first lecture: Food Sciences on 7 October 2026, Health Sciences and Management on 7 October 2026, and Quality, Environment, Safety and Hygiene on 5 October 2026.
