The students travelled to Düsseldorf in the afternoon to gain first-hand insights into the strategic direction of an internationally active insurance company. The focus was on a specialist presentation by ERGO, which dealt in particular with the topics of brand strategy, strategic marketing and the legal framework governing international business operations.
The presentation explained how a global brand positions itself in different markets and the challenges arising from European and global regulatory requirements. In addition, the students gained valuable insights into the development and implementation of international marketing strategies, as well as the importance of consistent brand management in a dynamic competitive environment.
Following the presentation, a corporate event held in the format of a business reception provided an opportunity for direct discussion with experts from the industry. The focus was particularly on networking between students and company representatives, and this opportunity was made the most of. In keeping with the occasion, participants were dressed in business casual attire, thereby contributing to a professional yet open atmosphere for discussion.
The field trip forms part of a comprehensive teaching project that combines the theoretical content of the courses with current practical examples from international marketing and management.
