The Alleen 3 agroforestry demonstration plot was established in partnership with the City of Kleve, the Haus Riswick Agricultural Research Centre and the Agroforestry Real-World Laboratory at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. Management by Haus Riswick and research by the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (HSRW) take place in parallel. This allows sustainable agriculture to be researched under real-world conditions. Around 250 trees of a wide variety of species have been growing on the 3.3-hectare site since January 2025.
