Dr. Carina Goldbach

Carina Goldbach is the Study Program Manager for the Master’s programmes Economics and Finance and Sustainable Development Management at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. She also teaches in the module “Applied Project in Sustainable Development” and has been a member of the Faculty’s Ethics Committee since 2019.

She studied Economics and International Development, with a focus on Development Economics, at the University of Göttingen. During her studies, she gained international experience in South Africa, Kenya and Ecuador.

In 2014, she joined the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research in Bremen as a research associate, where she worked on environmental change and migration in coastal areas and conducted research in experimental behavioural economics, leading her own research projects in Ghana and Indonesia. She completed her PhD in Economics at Jacobs University Bremen in 2017. She then joined Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences as a research associate in behavioural economics and later worked on behavioural economics research within the externally funded CONUS project.

Since 2021, she has been responsible for managing the two Master’s programmes at the Faculty of Society and Economics.

She has two children and lives with her family in the Netherlands.
