Responsibilities and Members of the Committee
The Committee for Teaching, Learning and Continuing Training advises Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences on important issues in teaching, learning and professional training. Its responsibilities include, for example:
- Discussing and drawing up recommendations on fundamental questions.
- Advancing the development of the University’s academic profile.
- Drawing up position statements on establishing, adjusting and discontinuing degree programmes (particularly in connection with (re-)accreditation processes) as well as position statements on strategic changes to examination regulations, for example changes to programme names, curricular structure changes etc.
- Identifying important goals in the areas of teaching, learning and professional training that can be derived from the Strategic Development Plan.
- Taking action towards achieving said goals.
- Process development and optimisation in teaching and professional training.
- Contributing to the development of part-time study modes, dual study modes and professional training opportunities.
- Helping to initiate and introduce new types and methods of teaching.
