Good scientific practice

In order to ensure good scientific practice, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences has published guidelines for good scientific practice. Compliance with these regulations is obligatory for all members of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences and contributes to ensuring high scientific standards.

Ombudspersons

Two ombudspersons are available as independent contact persons for scientists and students: Prof. Dr. Kerstin Koch and Prof. Dr. Nele Wild-Wall as deputies. They are independent contact persons for questions regarding ethical principles, plagiarism, misconduct in research and other aspects of good scientific practice. The ombudspersons consider the interests of all parties involved and mediate in cases of scientific misconduct.

In the case of examinations (e.g. homework or seminar papers, Bachelor's or Master's theses), the verification of scientific misconduct lies with the respective examiners and the responsible examination committees.
