AutoLingua German is the German language learning programme offered by Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences for the CEFR A1 level. German A1.1 and A1.2 are offered exclusively via AutoLingua German in a self-guided learning format in Moodle.
With AutoLingua German, you can learn German A1 both independently and flexibly, with a clear framework and periodic assistance. Ultimately, you decide when and where you learn, allowing you to better integrate learning German into your everyday life as a student.

How AutoLingua DaF A1 works
AutoLingua German A1 is a managed by Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences and tailored to its students and their life in Germany. AutoLingua German guides you step by step through your German language learning journey. Each module combines work from the textbook with relevant digital learning activities on Moodle.
You will work through the individual lessons independently and at your own pace. We recommend completing around one module per week. With the interactive exercises, you will receive immediate feedback on your answers and helpful tips for learning German in the future.

With AutoLingua German, autonomous learning means that you are in charge of your own learning process. We help by providing clear learning objectives, structured learning pathways and continuous support during the 4-month cycle.
Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend completing approximately one module per week. Each module consists of three main lessons and two mini-lessons focusing on university life and work. You should allow approximately 30 to 45 minutes for each main lesson. The total time you need will also depend on how often you review the learning content.
