From 24 to 25 September, students and anyone else interested can take part in a data challenge at the Faculty of Technology and Bionics’ first Datathon: for 24 hours, teams will work on a dataset to address various questions.
Fabrice Kirsch, a research assistant at the Faculty of Technology and Bionics, is organising the event to inspire students’ interest in data processing, data visualisation, statistics and machine learning. At the same time, the aim is to strengthen the transfer of knowledge to the local economy and to give interested companies the opportunity to get in touch with interested students. Students can register for the Datathon here from now on. As well as working on the data, there will be plenty of refreshments for all participants, and the chance to try their hand at a completely different challenge: there’s also a table football table available for everyone.
The Datathon begins on 24 September at 12 noon and ends on 25 September at 2 pm with the closing ceremony and prize-giving for the winning team.
