Deep linking in TYPO3 allows you to create and share specific links to pages, content elements or backend modules within the TYPO3 backend. This is particularly useful for collaboration and content review, as well as for quick navigation.
Sharing links
To share a link, use the share icon located at the top right of every page in the backend.
Linking to a page
To create a deep link to a specific page (for example, the ‘About Us’ page):
- Go to the page you want.
- Click the Share icon.
- Select the option to create the link to the page.
Linking to a content element
To create a deep link to a specific content element (for example, the ‘Introduction’ content element on the ‘About Us’ page):
- Navigate to the page containing the content element.
- Find the content element you want to link to.
- Click the Share icon.
- Select the option to create the link to the content element.
Linking to backend modules
To create a link to a backend module (for example, the ‘Site Configuration’ module):
- Open the backend module you want to link to.
- Click the Share icon.
- Select the option to create the link to the backend module.
URLs and deep links
It is recommended that you use the Share button to create deep links rather than copying the URL directly from the browser. The Share button ensures that the link is created correctly and contains all the necessary parameters.
By using deep links, you can improve your workflow and facilitate team collaboration by providing direct access to relevant pages, content elements or backend modules.
