Examination Regulations and Module Handbook

The Examination Regulations set out what you are required to complete in your degree programme, when and in what form. They form the binding basis for all examinations. You can find the module handbook and study plan on your degree programme’s page.

Recognition of prior learning

Credits from another degree programme or vocational training may be recognised under certain conditions. Please use the application forms further down this page and submit them to the Examination Board. The documents must be uploaded to Moodle.

  • You can find the recognition form here under ‘Forms and Downloads’ or in the Moodle folder (see below).
  • Please complete a separate form for each module for which you wish to have credit points transferred.
  • Please submit the relevant module description from your previous higher education institution or university for each module.

The application for recognition of credits earned elsewhere must be submitted as follows:

  1. Open the Moodle folder ‘Recognition of prior learning’.
  2. Download the form and fill in all the necessary details – only one module per form!
  3. You can find the module code in the examination regulations for your degree programme or on your HIS portal.
  4. Don’t forget to sign it!
  5. Save the completed file as a PDF on your own computer – please name the file as follows: Matriculation number_Surname_Application_HSRW module code_HSRW module title.
  6. Please save the corresponding module description as a PDF file using the same naming convention: Matriculation number_Surname_Module description_HSRW module code_HSRW module title.
  7. Upload both files to the ‘Upload’ folder and follow the further instructions. You can be assured that no one other than authorised staff within the faculty will be able to view your documents.

Once uploaded, the application will be checked for completeness by staff in the Dean’s Office. Only then will an appointment be arranged for you to submit the original copy of your academic transcript to the Dean’s Office (KLE 12 01 006). Only after you have presented the document will the documents be forwarded to the relevant module coordinator. Your application will then be deleted from the Moodle folder. Following review and a decision, the information will be forwarded to the chair of the Examination Board, who will issue the relevant notification and send it to you.

Applications that have already been submitted under the previous system do NOT need to be resubmitted.

Access to an examination paper

Once your results have been announced, you can view your examination paper. You will find the application form for this below. You can find out the dates from the relevant lecturer or via Moodle.
