The Faculty of Communication and Environment has already worked with the JRC on several occasions and has successfully completed a number of interdisciplinary projects.

Currently, Sven Nehls, student of the degree programme “Media Communication and Computer Science, B.Sc." is working on a bachelor’s thesis on interactive visualization of datasets. He is supported by Jenny Lüde, graduate of the degree programme “Information and Communication Design, B.A.” and supervised by Professor Frank Zimmer as well as Professor Jörg Petri. The visit was a good chance for him to present his research.

During the visit Professor Petri informed about new projects of the faculty in the fields of Information and Communication Design as well as Digital Media. Professor Zimmer gave insights into the Media Communication and Computer Science programme, followed by a presentation of Sven Nehles and Jenny Lüde on the development of the thesis. Finally Darren McGarry introduced different innovative projects and experiments of the JRC.

All in all it was an inspiring meeting that definitely helped to establish future cooperative relations.
