CIV Laboratory

The Computational Intelligence and Visualization Lab provides a modern environment for research and learning in simulation, data visualisation, artificial intelligence and computational astronomy. Key areas include deep learning, reinforcement learning, scientific visualisation and 3D modelling, supported by state-of-the-art technology such as a 3D building scanner and a drone.

A particular highlight is the campus radio telescope with its 2.3-metre dish. Used in both teaching and research, it allows students and researchers to collect and process astronomical data and explore it using machine learning, computer simulation and scientific visualisation. The radio telescope provides opportunities for hands-on experiments and interdisciplinary projects that bring together computer science, artificial intelligence and modern astronomy.
