Led by Professor Ulrich Greveler, the IT Security Lab acts as a strategic partner for businesses and public sector organisations, bridging the gap between research and practice. Its expertise includes identifying and assessing digital risks, as well as developing and implementing resilient security solutions. A particular focus is supporting organisations in meeting regulatory requirements, including NIS2, KRITIS and cyber insurance requirements.
The Lab also provides demonstrations and interactive visualisations that enable hands-on engagement and support workshops delivered on site.
In addition, the Lab assists organisations with the technical implementation of ISO 27001 measures, including identity and access management, endpoint security, SIEM/SOC solutions and systematic vulnerability monitoring. Beyond consultancy services, the IT Security Lab promotes knowledge transfer through collaborative research and industry projects, workshops and expert lectures. By combining academic expertise with practical application, the Lab helps organisations reduce cybersecurity risks and translate research findings into effective operational security measures.
