Visit to the office of the Working Group for Peace and Conflict Research

As part of the module "Peace and Security Studies", a group of students from the International Relations Bachelor's programme led by Prof. Dr Jakob Lempp visited the office of the German Association for Peace and Conflict Studies (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Friedens- und Konfliktforschung e.V. – AFK) in Kleve. The managing director of the AFK, Ms Elke Verlinden, gave an introduction to the tasks and activities of the AFK and presented opportunities for students to participate. In this way, the activities of the association could be linked to the content of peace and conflict research in a very vivid way.

The AFK was founded in 1968 as a German scientific association of peace and conflict researchers from all academic disciplines and currently has over 270 members.
