Mittwochsakademie "Geschlechter sind auch Menschen"

Die Fakultät Gesellschaft und Ökonomie der Hochschule Rhein-Waal möchte mit der Vortragsreihe und ihrem thematischen Schwerpunkt Studierende, Lehrende und die interessierte Öffentlichkeit zu einer gemeinsamen Reflexion über gesellschaftsrelevante Fragen zum Thema „Gender“ anregen.

Die Aktion war ein voller Erfolg. Viele Besucher haben sich an Fragen zur Mobilität beteiligt. Viele Ideen und Wünsche für die Mobilität der Zukunft in Kleve konnten wir sammeln.[...] Viele Besucher haben auf den bereitgestellten Liegestühlen das super Wetter genossen. Insgesamt war es ein sehr entspannter Tag mit vielen tollen Gesprächen und Ideen.

Rhine-Waal Teaching Awards 2015

Each year Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences distinguishes two teachers for demonstrating engaging and exemplary teaching practice.

Student of "International Relations" honored with DAAD-Award

Within the festive semester opening at the university on 21st of September Mr. Genís Panisello-Valldeperez, student of the course "International Relations", will be honored with this year's DAAD-Award. The award is presented annually for good academic record as well as remarkable social and intercultural commitment to an international students of our university.

New cooperation in the USA

From 6th to 12th of semptember, Mrs. Marion Halfmann and Mr. Philipp Schorn were in the US to initiate cooperation and/or expand it. With our partner university Ferris State University, a draft of a double degree program has been finalized. This program will allow our students to get our B.A. in International Business and a B.A. in Business Adminstration from Ferris after 8 semesters. This option also applies for the students of the Ferris State University. The existing agreement for student exchanges persists.

Die Mittwochsakademie 2015 startet in die zweite Jahreshälfte

Unter dem Motto „Geschlechter sind auch Menschen. Neue Beiträge aus der Gleichstellungspolitik und Genderforschung“ steht die Vortragsreihe der diesjährigen Mittwochsakademie.

Preparatory Courses in September 2015

The Preparatory Courses of the Faculty Society and Economics will take place from 07.09. - 09.11.2015, registration is mandatory. Please send a short e-mail to studienberatung(at)hochschule-rhein-waal.de containing your name, study program and the name of  the Preparatory Course (Business Mathematics / Mathematics, Academic Writing, Business English) for which you want to register. Participation in several courses is possible. The timetables can be downloaded as a PDF file.

 

Visit to Rwanda

From 29 June to 3 July 2015 Professors Gregor van der Beek, Oliver Serfling and Jakob Lempp had a intensive visit program in the Republic of Rwanda. They discussed with several high-ranking officials of the Ministries of Finance, Trade and Labour, with representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the chief economist of the Rwandan National Bank as well as representatives of several public and private Rwandan universities, including the University of Rwanda in Kigali and the first University of Applied Sciences in the country, the INES Ruhengeri Institute of Applied Sciences in Musanze.
