Alumnight in the Study Course Gender and Diversity, B.A.
The Bachelor's degree in Gender and Diversity offers a wide range of career opportunities. In a hybrid event on December 2nd 2021, three graduates presented their own career paths. Students from all semesters joined the session, from the first semester to a recent graduate.
Regina König continued her academic path after graduating from Gender and Diversity with a Master in International Management and Psychology. This led to her current position in the field of learning and performance disorders in children and adolescents the University of Duisburg Essen, where she is working on her dissertation on interventions against sexism. Didem Günel reported on her experience as a school social worker, the institutional and personal challenges. Johanna Hachmann was connected virtually. On the one hand she works for the SOS children’s village Kleve in the competence center for women and work Niederrhein. At the same time she started her own agency as a coach and consultant. The three were visibly happy to be invited back to “their” university.
Eva-Maria Hinterhuber led through the evening. After the graduates had reported on their careers and given advice to the students, the students actively asked questions via the chat. As head of the study program, Eva Hinterhuber rates the evening as a success and hopes for future meetings to take place in presence, to enable an even more worthwhile encounter.
